Wifie membership consists of a very mixed group of women, coming from different backgrounds and all ages and abilities. Members can work with both digital and black and white photography depending on individual preference and style of work. You will need your own camera but anything from a small compact to SLR's are fine - we are about creating images not about what equipment you have!
Wifie is not based in any set location and therefore does not have the resources that other groups or projects might have.
We don't have computer facilities available but we do sometimes have workshops where people bring (and share) laptops to share knowledge and tips using photoshop as well as free software. We also have access to darkroom facilities when members are interested in processing their own images in black & white.
All members are welcome to come along to any of our events, meetings, social gatherings as and when this suits them. All Wifie members are invited to participate in exhibitions and to provide images for our website but this is completely voluntary. As we are a collective we also welcome members taking on the various tasks that are involved in running our activities.
