Aspect Ratio 1:1
Assignment 21. Most cameras allow you to vary the height and width of your image so that you can capture your scene in anything from a square image (1:1 aspect ratio) to a cinemascope or panoramic image, 16:9 ratio. It can be an interesting exercise to try out different aspect ratios when taking photos as it can help you to look at what you are taking in a different way. Taking photos on a 3:2 setting is the same as using 35mm film whilst using 4:3 gives you what was known as 'fullscreen'.
