I decided to explore the changes in public transport, a social space that has adapted to modern life. Today you see adaptions like mobile phone charging points, dedicated spaces for the elderly and information boards for personal safety. With increasing car use and ongoing cuts to both urban and rural bus services, what will 'taking the bus' look like in the future?'.

I decided to create this collaged image of this telephone box in Portobello. It still plays a vital part in community life as an exhibition space although its role as a means of communication has been overtaken by the mobile phone.
